Shirley Wallace Landrum, age 78, formerly of 207 Salisbury Circle died Saturday Aug. 11, 2012 at Emeritus Nursing Home, Danville. She was born Nov. 3, 1933 in Roxboro, N.C. to the late Walter Wallace and the late Geneva Jackson Johnson. On Sept. 28, 2012 she would have celebrated 50 years of marriage to Charlie David Landrum. Mrs. Landrum was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle where she served as assistant Sunday School teacher.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Lisa Harrison and husband Scot of Danville, Linda Jones and husband Steve of King, N.C. and Gail Denny of Hillsborough, N.C.; one son, David Anthony Landrum and wife Kay; two sisters, Dorothy Carver of Roxboro, N.C. and Diane Strickland of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Ryan Ross, Elizabeth Harrison, Isabella Harrison, Jessica Jones, Joshua Jones, Jay Denny, Tony Landrum and Travis Landrum; one great-grandchild, William Denny.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Steve Wrenn.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 14 at noon at the Baptist Tabernacle 1978 South Boston Road, Danville with the Rev. Lamar Mooneyham officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends 11-11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 prior to the funeral and other times at the residence 207 Salisbury Circle, Danville.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to the Danville Life Saving Crew, 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA 24541.
