Steve Walter Parks / December 19, 2017

Steve Walter Parks, 64, of Chase City, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017. He was a self-employed contractor and a member of Black Branch Baptist Church. Steve was an avid hunter who belonged to many hunting clubs and he was a former Dixie Youth baseball coach.

He is survived by his son, T.W. Parks and wife, Jennifer of Chase City, daughter, Sarah Parks of Colonial Heights, sister, Shirley Elliott of South Boston, grandson, Declan Parks, numerous “bird dogs” and close friends.

Graveside services were held Friday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. at Black Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southside VA Quail Forever, P.O. Box 888 South Hill, VA 23970.

Condolences may be expressed to the family at   

Wood Funeral Service, Chase City, is serving the family.
