Sukon “Sukie” Panich, 69, of Milton, Ga., formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2013 succumbing to injuries from an automobile accident.

Sukie made a career helping others as a nurse for many years at Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, and then at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, N.C.

Sukie loved spending time with her grandchildren, James and Andrew. She was actively involved in their upbringing and enjoyed watching them in their various sports and activities. She affectionately became known by “Gigi” after the birth of James, and will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband Banyat Panich, her daughters, Rosalind Prattas and Linda Panich, her son-in-law, George Prattas and future son-in-law, James Bradford, and her grandsons, James and Andrew Prattas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be made to Buddharaleigh Temple, 8921 Poole Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.
