Susie Ann Woody Logan Wood

Susie Ann Woody Logan Wood of Philpott Road, South Boston, died at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at the age of 63. Mrs. Wood was born in Halifax County on April 7, 1949 to Rebecca Woody Fabian. She was married to the late John Robert Wood and was a member of Williams Temple C.M.E. Church. She was a long time employee of Tultex and was later employed at Sheetz.

Mrs. Wood is survived by a daughter, Adriane Logan Rome of South Boston; a granddaughter, Ashanti Rome, a grandson, Daryl Rome Jr. and a great-grandson, Jason Rome, all of Virginia Beach; her mother, Rebecca W. Fabian of South Boston; five aunts, Virginia Lipscomb and husband Earnest, Helen Terry and Rosa Williams, all of South Boston, Inez Miller and Granville Woody of New York, N.Y.; two brothers-in law, Thomas Wood and wife, Dorothy and Billy Wood and wife, Lillian and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held Monday, February 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Williams Temple C.M.E. Church with Rev. George R. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of her mother, 7085 River Road, South Boston.

Funeral arrangements are by Jeffress Funeral Home.
