Terry Daniel Meadows

Terry Daniel Meadows Sr., 63, of South Boston, died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital.

He was born in South Boston on March 31, 1950, a son of the late Isaiah Meadows and Annie Daniel Meadows and was married to Gale Vernon Meadows. Mr. Meadows attendeded Trinity Pentecostal Church, was a member of Faulkner Memorial Lodge 91, Sons of the American Legion, played and coached South Boston Dixie Youth baseball, was on the Halifax County Sports Hall of Fame selection committee and was a 43 year employee of Century Link.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Terry Daniel Meadows Sr. and Shannon of Amherst and their children, Bryce Daniel and Riley Grace and Todd Jonathan Meadows and Liz of Roanoke and their daughter, Piper Grey; one sister, Karen Harris and Robbie of Halifax; one brother, Steven D. Meadows and Jackie of South Boston.

A funeral was held Sunday, April 21, at 2 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Dyer, Rev. Dan Ward and Rev. Jack Stewart officiating. Burial followed in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
