Thelma Malinda Sadler Edmunds, 93, of Halifax, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at her home. She was born in Halifax County on Oct. 4, 1925, daughter of the late Nathan Sadler and Mollie Crenshaw Sadler and was married to the late William Carrington Edmunds Sr. She was a member of Banister Hill Baptist Church and a retired employee of Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, where she worked for over 20 years.

Mrs. Edmunds is survived by four sons, Nathaniel Edmunds Sr., Israel Edmunds Sr., Michael Edmunds and Keith Edmunds; one daughter, Laura Paige; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Kimberly Edmunds; one son-in-law, George Paige; and a host of other relatives and friends, including her caregiver, Pauline Medley.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Calvin Edmunds and William Edmunds Jr., one daughter, Jeanette Edmunds and one granddaughter, Kimberly Paige.

A funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. at Banister Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be two hours prior to service on Saturday.
