Thomas Brice Eggleston Jr.

Thomas Brice Eggleston Jr., 67, of Topsail, N.C., died Sunday, July 29, 2018. He was born in Martinsville on Dec. 3, 1950, son of Norma Murphy Eggleston and the late Thomas Brice Eggleston Sr. He was married to Rucker McCanless Eggleston. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and an affiliate of Emma Anderson Memorial Chapel of Topsail Beach, N.C. He was a retired tobacconist from J.P. Taylor and Universal Tobacco Companies. Currently served as an executive committee member of Cape Fear Council of Government.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Eggleston is survived by his son, John Brice Eggleston of Topsail Beach, N.C., his daughter, Alice Eggleston St. Pierre and husband Courtney of Clinton, N.C., two grandchildren, Charlotte Love Eggleston of Topsail, N.C., and Jackson St. Pierre of Clinton, N.C., one brother, James Edgar Eggleston and wife Jane of Danville.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Jackson Eggleston.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. at Main street United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Rickman officiating. There will also be a memorial service at Topsail Beach, N.C., at a later date.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church and other times at 200 Edgewood Circle, Halifax.
