Virginia Elaine Talley, 68, of Beltsville, Md., formerly of Virgilina, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Laurel Regional Hospital. She was born May 30, 1942 in Halifax County, a daughter of the late George Irving and Bettie Louise Talley.

She is survived by a daughter, Emma Talley of Baltimore, Md., two sons, Steve Talley of Fredericksburg and Dwight Talley of Silver Spring, Md., one granddaughter, Destiny Talley; two grandsons, Drew Talley and Victor "VJ" Enyi; two daughters-in-law, Mary and Penelope; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Talley and Shirley Talley; three aunts, Katie Williams, Gracie Stanfield, Cecil Crutchfield; other relatives and friends, including Jill Talley and Marie Watkins. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nannie Talley and Dorothy Tuck and four brothers, William, Joseph, Arthur "Nick" and Otis Talley.

A funeral was held Sunday at White Oak Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Faulkner officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
