Virginia Ruby Newcomb Roper

Virginia Ruby Newcomb Roper, 93, of Chase City, passed away on Nov. 10, 2012.

She was the widow of Robert (Bob) Roper. She was a beautician for over 70 years, an employee of Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home for over 69 years, and a Sunday School teacher at Salem Christian Church for 62 years.

She is survived by one son, R. Asa Roper and wife, Candy, their children, Brooke and Robert; One dearly loved niece, Sharon Hall and husband, C.I., their children, Kate, Rachel, and Jim; a brother, W.A. Newcomb Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews, and their families.

A funeral was held Monday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel. Interment followed at Salem Christian Church in Fort Mitchell.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Nov. 11.
