Obituaries William “Bill” Henry Link Jr.SoVaNow.com / April 19, 2010
Born in Halifax County on September 29, 1940, he was 69 at the time of his death. He was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church and was a retired construction insulator with Fluor-Daniels. Mr. Link is survived by his wife, Ruby Jane Harris Link of the home, a son, Dale Link and wife, Liz of South Boston, a daughter Lisa L. Murray and husband, Willie of South Boston, four brothers, Emmitt Link of Alton and Bernice Link and wife, Linda, Bruce Link and wife, Margaret and Earnest Link and wife, Margaret, all of South Boston and a sister, Violet L. Deal and husband, Jay, also of South Boston and four grandchildren, Ashley Link, Morgan Link, Drew Link and Brittney Murray. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Rogers Link and William Henry Link, Sr. and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Link. A funeral service for Mr. Link will be conducted on Monday, April 19 at 2 p.m. at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. John Flood and Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
