William Dewey Beadles, 72, of Virgilina, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021. He was born in Halifax County on March 6, 1948, son of the late Doss Beadles and the late Georgia Hamlett Beadles. He was married to Charlotte Ayers Beadles. Dewey was an avid fisherman, loved bluegrass music, all animals, especially cats and dogs. He never met a stranger.

Mr. Beadles is survived by his wife, Charlotte A. Beadles of the home; one son, Tommy Beadles and wife Carol Ann of Halifax; step-children, Jennifer Flynn and Wendy Flynn of Boydton; three grandchildren, Ellen B. Powell (Sean), Erin Beadles and Emily Beadles; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Joan Perkins of South Boston and Eunice Lloyd of South Boston; sister-in-law, Hope Flynn and fiancé Brian.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim and Phillip Beadles.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. at Aaron’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. In keeping with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, we recommend the wearing of face masks and to practice social distancing.
