William Henry Burwell

William Henry Burwell, 59, of Clarksville, died Monday, April 10, 2017 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.

Mr. Burwell was born in Mecklenburg County, Nov. 6, 1957 to the late Kenneth and Jennie Small Burwell. He attended the public schools of Mecklenburg County, and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church 2. Mr. Burwell was a former security guard.

Cherishing his memories are four sisters, Julia Long of Andover, N.J., Nadine White of Richmond, Kenny Marie Jeanlouis and Priscillae Burwell both of Clarksville, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Eva Bonds.

A funeral was held Tuesday, April 18, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church 2, with Rev. Cornelius Ogburn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
