Willie Glenn Sanford of Buffalo Junction died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital at the age of 50. Willie known as Glenn was born Jan. 21, 1968 at Halifax Regional Hospital to his mother, Jennie Coles and the late Willie Sanford. He graduated from Bluestone Senior High School. At a young age he accepted Christ and became a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church. He sung in the Junior Youth Choir and served as an Usher. Glenn was employed by Gupton Roofing until he became disabled, but his main hobby was washing cars. Anybody that needed their car washed, Glenn was ready. Every time you see him he was always smiling and laughing, he loved to have fun, watch wrestling and being around his family.

Cherishing his memories are his daughter: Teyona Sanford of Nelson, two sons: Toreik Sanford of the home and Antwan Small of Raleigh, N.C..; four grandchildren: J’monni Wilkins, McKenna Jones, Trinity Small and Londynn Small; his mother: Jennie Coles of the home and estranged wife: Patricia Sanford of Durham, N.C.; mother-in-law: Barbara Nelson of Durham, N.C.; three aunts: Jean Richardson of Virgilina, Mary Yancey (Preston) of South Boston, and Florence Baptist of Buffalo Junction. Hattie Lester of South Boston; one uncle: Douglas Baptist (Josephine); two brother-in-laws and one sister-in-law and a vast number of loving relatives and caring friends.

Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Willie Sanford.

A funeral will be held Saturday, March 10, at 11 a.m. at Cherry Hill Baptist Church, Clarksville.

Services are entrusted to Carter’s Funeral Home.
