Elder Willie Harrison Long, 86, of East Hyco Road, South Boston died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at his home. He was born in North Carolina on February 29, 1932, son of the late John D. Long and Hallie Barksdale. He was married to Evangelist Anne K. Long and was a member of El Bethel the Kingdom Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Long is survived by one daughter, Louise L. Cooper; four sons, Warren C. Long (Michelle), Bishop Byron K. Long, Sr. (Joelin), Willis A. Long (Cindy) and Ronald T. Long (Shawn); 38 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life service will be held Monday, November 5, 2:00 p.m. at Crawford House Chapel, Halifax, with Bishop John C. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Garden Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Sunday, November 4 from noon-6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home and the family will receive friends at 5149 East Hyco Road, South Boston.
