A hearty salute

Dear Viewpoint:

“Supervisors did not respond to Mrs. Bass’ comments but proceeded to the next public speaker.”

That seems to say it all.

But please think again before it is too late supervisors.

You have asked the impossible of the architects you hired, and they have tried to accomplish the impossible. And they have come up with a very unattractive mess.

There is not sufficient room on the courthouse square for what you want to build. Therefore, you need to build the new courtrooms you need somewhere nearby.

Better to waste what you have already spent than to waste more on a mess.

Please rethink what you are doing before you ruin the beautiful courthouse square, the jewel of Halifax County for us and all future generations.

Mrs. Paul C. Edmunds Jr.
