I know Tracy

SoVaNow.com / November 04, 2013

Dear Viewpoint:

I have known Tracy Quackenbush Martin since 2007. She has been an attorney and pillar of the South Boston-Halifax County community for 15 years and has been practicing law for the same amount of time. As she has been the sole proprietor of her own law firm, she has seen a wide variety of every type of legal litigation.

I believe Ms. Quackenbush Martin will continue to follow the letter of the law in all cases presented to the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office. She will mentor the assistant Commonwealth attorneys so that they are well prepared and able to bring cases to trial at a much faster rate than is possible under the current administrator. And I am convinced that by working closely with the various law enforcement agencies in the county, she will bring justice to the victims of crime in a far more expedient manner.

Ms. Quackenbush Martin has earned an excellent reputation by representing the people of our county to the absolute best of her abilities, in virtually every area of the law since l998. She is a highly qualified and motivated individual who will do what is best for Halifax County.

The office of Commonwealth’s Attorney should be a non-political office as the Commonwealth’s Attorney must serve the people of Halifax County and the law of the land. That is why I will be voting for the independent ticket to make sure that our Commonwealth’s Attorney will not have any allegiance to a political party. Vote for what is best for Halifax County and not your political party.

Sincerely, Eva M. Leamond, Nathalie
