(An open letter to Mr. Justin Kerns, county tourism director)

Dear Mr. Kerns,

I spoke to you a few days ago about helping Clarksville a destination!

My husband and I are retired imports. We love it here, and as a tourist place I have several pet peeves.

1. The bridge into Clarksville. It is always over grown with weeds. That is an eyesore coming into town. Every time we have an affair or event. The county uses the prisoners to cut it, but not often enough!!

2. The outskirts of town by the CVS has a terrible broken down building, with all kinds of junk around it.

3. At Uppy’s (Now Circle K), Why doesn’t the Corps of Engineers make them clear up the trash on their beachfront? Homeowners on the water have to, why not a business??

4. Please try to get a stoplight at the 58/15 Intersection.

Congratulations on your new position.

This neat little town needs some waking up!
