Lady Barons dominate in season opener

The Bluestone varsity softball team claimed a 17-1 win over Brunswick Wednesday in the season opener for both teams. The Lady Barons got offensive production out of the entire lineup in mauling the Lady Bulldogs in Skipwith. Krystyn Owen strokes a double with this swing during the third inning. The game against Brunswick was the only full outing for the Lady Barons last week; their game Thursday against Greensville was cut short in the third inning due to inclement weather with Bluestone leading 3-0. Park View shuts out Bluestone 1-0 to sweep boys soccer games

The Bluestone boys soccer team lost 1-0 to county arch rival Park View in a hard-fought match that wasn’t decided until the Dragons broke the ice with a goal with seven minutes left to play in the game.
