Halifax County’s Dylan Sons delivered a tremendous pitching effort, and catcher Dylan Hendricks delivered the game-winning base hit in the bottom of the seventh inning. As a result, the Comets slipped past GW-Danville, 2-1, in a Western Valley district baseball showdown Tuesday night in South Boston.
