BMS girls crush Prince Edward

The Bluestone Middle School Lady Trojans played host to the Prince Edward Middle School volleyball team on Tuesday. The match lasted only three games with the Trojans overpowering Prince Edward, 25-10, 25-6, and 25-21.

HCHS names new basketball coach

Halifax County High School varsity boys basketball assistant coach James McDaniel, center, has been named the new head basketball coach. With him is HCHS athletics director Allen Lawter, left, and principal Albert Randolph. McDaniel will serve initially as the interim coach.
James McDaniel, who has coaching experience at HCHS as an assistant, has the job this winter. McDaniel has been approved by the Halifax County school board.
