Cabell left a lasting memory on the YMCA staff and members. “I had the distinct pleasure of knowing and coaching Cabell at the YMCA in the early 90’s. He was a very dedicated, loyal, and determined young man. Cabell was always early to practice, practiced hard, and consistently tried to get it right. His disposition never changed because he was always the same. Cabell never met a stranger and he was always smiling. He will definitely be missed.” said swim team coach Jeanette Abbott.
