The Bluestone Barons welcomed the Prince Edward Eagles to their Homecoming game Friday night, but the result wasn’t what the Baron gridders were hoping for as they fell 29-14 to give Prince Edward its first win of the year.

Comet cheerleaders to hold exhibition

The Halifax County High School cheerleading squad will hold an exhibition Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the HCHS gym. The exhibition is in preparation for the team's upcoming district competition at GWHS in Danville on Oct. 27. There is no admission charge.
