Bluestone volleyball standout Carmen Sturdifen has been named Player of the Year in Region B, Group A competition by coaches across Virginia. Sturdifen, who led the Lady Barons to a 17-5 season mark and a second place finish in the James River District, earlier was named JRD Player of the Year for the second time. She was among the players in Region B to make the all-region team.
