Putts For Paws golf outing on April 25 raises money for new animal shelter

Friday, April 25 will be the perfect dog day afternoon — and morning — when golfers take to the links at Kinderton Country Club in Clarksville for the 11th annual Putts for Paws Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament. It’s one of the biggest fundraisers for the Lake Country SPCA, usually bringing in significant sums each year.

BAILEY HEADING TO HARGRAVE – Comet football player Shaq Bailey Thursday officially signed a letter of commitment to play for the Hargrave Military Academy post-grad football program this fall. He was joined by his mother Latarsha Womack and former Comet head football coach Stan Hodgin.
Nothing is guaranteed, and he must complete one rigorous year of very competitive football and demanding academics, but Shaq Bailey likely put himself in position to land a football grant-in-aid a year from now.
