South Boston Elementary School’s annual 1-mile Kids’ Fun Run and 5K Race takes place Saturday morning, April 30. Proceeds will go toward pedometers for P.E. classes and high-tech smartboards. With raring-to-go South Boston students on an imaginary starting line are Associate Principal Kevin Neal and Ryn Morrison, parent and race organizer. Cost for the 5K is $15 ($20 on race day); the Fun Run is $5 (ages 12 and under only) and entrants get a medal and a keepsake, student-designed t-shirt.
