Four new sports figures have been officially enshrined into the Halifax County-Sports Hall of Fame, including the county’s only two-time Olympic athlete.

Halifax County High School broke open a close game late, as the Comets scored three times in the fifth and added a run in the sixth on the way to a 6-1 varsity baseball victory over border rival Person County Friday.
