SBES Fun Run/5K April 30

Raring-to-go children jump to a start at last year’s South Boston Elementary School’s annual 1-mile Kids’ Fun Run and 5K Race. This year, the run takes place Saturday morning, April 30. Proceeds will go toward pedometers for P.E. classes and high-tech smartboards. Cost for the 5K is $15 ($20 on race day); the Fun Run is $5 (ages 12 and under only) and entrants get a medal and a keepsake, student-designed t-shirt. Sponsors are Lindstrand USA, Edward Jones, American National Bank, Powell Funeral Home, Dr. James Witko, Law Office of Tracy L. Quackenbush, Dr. Michael Haskett, Dr. Michael Peer, State Farm Insurance (Dave White), South Boston Insurance, the Law Office of Robert Morrison, Friends of James Edmunds and Dr. Keith Pyle.
