HCS returns to state tourney

The Halifax County South Dixie Youth majors are headed to the state tournament. HCS swept Chase City, including a decisive 12-1 win Saturday night. South won the opener of a best-of-three series to determine the district 2 champion with an 11-0 win Friday night in Chase City.

Comets seek redemption

Junior Legion improves to 9-8
