HDY minors finish 0-2 in state

The Halifax Dixie Youth minors’ all-stars finished 0-2 in the state tournament. The locals were very competitive, losing two games by three runs. Rustburg defeated Halifax in second round action, 8-7.

Butler to compete at SBS Saturday

The Butler did it. Brandon Butler would not mind hearing that said once or twice Saturday night at South Boston Speedway if it meant he had claimed a victory, or two.

The parents and fans of the Halifax County Dixie Pre-Majors have ample reason to be proud of this year’s all-stars. The Pre-Majors, playing at C.H. Friend, battled deep into the state tournament, only to lose 1-0 to Carroll County, which finished unbeaten and won the state crown.
