Comets pick up consolation win

Spring sports weathers winter weather

The Comet varsity baseball and softball and other spring sports teams saw their practice schedules interrupted by the winter blast earlier this week. Tomorrow's scheduled varsity scrimmage for softball and tennis have been postponed. Tennis will have its scrimmage at R-H on March 10, and softball will scrimmage at R-H on March 13. There are no updates on the varsity baseball scrimmage schedule. (David Conner II photos)

Six are named to Hall

Six more deserving individuals are headed for induction in the Halifax County-South Boston Sports Hall of Fame. The local Hall will induct six new members at its annual banquet, to be held at the Halifax Middle School at 6:30 p.m. on April 18. The inductees are Leo Carden, Moses Foster Jr., Wayne Lloyd, Elmer Nichols, Junior Owen and Carlyle Wimbish Jr.
