Pro Outlaw Door Slammers to run at Roxboro Motorsports Dragway

RB Smith of Roxboro N.C. will be competing in the Pro Outlaw Door Slammers class this Saturday at the Roxboro Motorsports Dragway with his 1963 Corvette.
A big weekend is on hand at the Roxboro Motorsports Dragway Park in Person County with the running of the Pro Outlaw Door Slammers and 275 Drag Radial Class. Racing begins Friday night with Freaky Friday test and tune beginning at 7 p.m.-1 a.m. along with along with Hopping DJ Show and Ladies Competition.

Junior Legion swept in doubleheader

The South Boston Post 8 Junior Legion team was swept in doubleheader action Sunday by the Leesville outfit, 3-2 and 6-4. The pitching "was pretty good (couple of bad innings," noted Legion head coach Todd Trickey. "We need more focus and intensity at the plate."

Moffitt claims first series win

16-year-old Brett Moffitt hopes he can make an major impression, with the aim of landing a full-time ride in the upper reaches of NASCAR. For now, the Iowa teenager will have to settle for a piece of NASCAR Camping World East series history. He’s now the youngest winner in this series ever, after bolting to the lead on lap 84 and cruising to a comfortable win in Saturday night’s 150-lap feature at South Boston Speedway.
