Looking to rebound

The HCHS varsity football team has an opportunity to rebound tomorrow night after a mistake-plagued opening loss at Petersburg. And HCHS, which has a two-game home stand with Person County coming next, also has a chance to establish some early season momentum.

Lady Comets fall to Rockets

The HCHS varsity volleyball team dropped to 2-2 Tuesday night after losing to a tough Person County team for the second time this season. The Comets lost, three games to none. But the Comets gained a measure of respect by playing competitively.

Lion golfers defeat season’s biggest rival

The HCMS golf team defeated its biggest rival this season - Central - with another terrific round of team golf on Monday. Coach Charlie Payne said the Lion golfers “played well. The kids hit a lot of good shots and played extremely well.”
