Messick remembered

The Halifax County -South Boston Recreation Departments played the 2009 Pee Wee Football Tournament in memory of Jerry Messick, a longtime coach in the program. Surrounded by youth football organizers and players are Messick’s wife Barbara, son and daughter, Jarret and Jessica, his mother, Rosalie C. Perkins and aunt, Joyce C. Hernandez.
