Kendall Foushee, playing the no. 1 for the HCHS girls’ tennis team, makes a return in the team’s home match Thursday against Prince Edward.

Jayvees fall 3-0 to Glass

The jayvee Comet girls’ soccer team lost to E.C. Glass, 3-0, in WVD action Friday night. HCHS had several good penetrations in the second half, sparked by excellent hustle from Courtney Young, but could not overtake the Hilltoppers in the second half.

The HCHS JV baseball team did enough to get past E.C. Glass Friday. The Comets prevailed, 7-5, even though it was hardly a smooth ride for Halifax.

Comets respectable in WVD tennis tournament

The HCHS boys’ tennis performers had a very respectable effort in WVD tournament competition this weekend. In first round action, the Comets’ Jacob Trent downed Franklin County’s Jacques Delport, 6-3, 6-2.
