The Comets had eight shots on goal, with 14 saves by keeper Nia Brown.

Comets remain undefeated

Halifax County has moved to the head of the class in the Western Valley district baseball race after a stirring 12-6 road win over PH-Roanoke Tuesday. The Comets are 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the district. PH suffered its first loss in district play, dropping to 3-1. GW, which comes to Halifax tomorrow, is 10-3 overall and 2-2 in the district after a 6-5 win at Glass. Franklin County is also in the picture in the district race with a 2-2 mark after a 22-5 rout over Fleming Tuesday.
