SBS to try again for season opener

Mother Nature did not cooperate with South Boston Speedway competitors and fans last weekend, but the green flag is now ready to drop to begin the 2009 season on Saturday, March 21, at America’s Hometown Track. Persistent rain on Friday and Saturday of last week washed out the planned season-opener, however, this weekend five action-packed races are planned for the running of the NASCAR Whelen Night.

WERA comes to VIR this weekend

WERA motorcycles racers are coming to Virginia International Raceway March 21 and 22 for the series’ second event of the new season. Long a favorite among racers, WERA brings together some of the best racers on two wheels for an exciting weekend of races on the 2.25-mile North Course.
