AA Dixie All-Stars knocked out of state title chase in Brookneal / July 17, 2017
Halifax County Dixie Youth AA (coach pitch) Dixie Youth all-stars have been eliminated in state tournament play after going 0-2 in Brookneal.

Halifax fell 18-15 to Prince George Friday and then lost 13-12 to Goochland Saturday.

Halifax was down a run in the bottom of the sixth with the top of the lineup coming, but could not score.

Drew Morgan went 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Zayden Ballou went 3-for-4, while Ryder Milam also went 3-for-4.

Will Payne finished with a 3-for-3 outing.

In Friday’s loss, Ballou was 4-for-4 with four runs scored. Morgan went 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Andrew Ratliff went 3-for-4 and Milam was 3-for-4.
