The Bluestone jayvee boys thumped Central of Lunenburg 50-32 in basketball action Friday night in Victoria.

After a slow start for both teams in the first quarter — which Bluestone led at the close, 11-7 — the Junior Barons picked up the pace in the second quarter. Six players scored in the frame to produce a 15-point quarter, giving Bluestone a 26-14 lead at halftime.

Central of Lunenburg struggled on offense all night, while Bluestone kept up the pressure in the second half. The Barons had 10 points in the third quarter and 14 in the fourth, while Central’s best frame was the fourth period, with 1 1 points.

Jonte Roberts led the Bluestone offense with 14 points and Fuquan Hayes had 12.
