Belles remain alive in state action / July 19, 2018

The Halifax County Dixie Belles remained alive in state tournament play in Farmville following a 13-10 win in game three over host Prince Edward-Farmville Monday.

Here is a recap of game one, also against PE.

Halifax fell, 4-3.

Destiny Talbott hit two doubles; Hayley Beadles had an RBI; Kaylee Bomar had an RBI.

Gracie Wagstaff pitched a complete game.

The locals rallied with a 16-6 win over Clarksville in game two.

Destiny Talbott hit a HR, two RBI’s and three hits. Brittney Barksdale had a hit. Skye Newcomb had a double and and RBI. Gracie Wagstaff had an RBI.

Kayla Hollingsworth had 2 hits and an RBI.

Hayley Beadles had a RBI hit.

Alyssa Glasscock had 2 hits and an RBI.

Jadyn Harlow had 3 RBI. Skylar Hoskins had a Double with an RBI. Shayma Boyd had a hit. Hayley Beadles and Destany Talbott pitched

Then, in game three, Halifax performed well with a lopsided win over the host team.
