Benchmark picks up first win in 30 & Over / November 02, 2017
Benchmark Bankers picked up its first win in the Thirty & Over basketball league competition Sunday.

Benchmark is now 1-2 in the Thirty & Over league. Italian Delight and the Outlaws lead the league at 3-0.

The Business and Industrial League features two teams, AWNC (1-2), and Aquatics (0-3).

As for league standings for all teams, Italian Delight and the Outlaws are 3-0, followed by the Volunteers, Benchmark and AWNC at 1-2, and Aquatics are 0-3.

Benchmark 53, Volunteers 39

Benchmark trailed at halftime but had a strong second half. Rodney Mosley led the winners with 13 points, while Johnny Wilson and Geoff Grant had 11 apiece.

Twan Wallace led the Volunteers with six points and Marcus Coleman had five. Benchmark hit four threes in the second half and finished 13 of 18 from the foul line.

Italian Delight 69, Aquatics 40

Italian Delight connected on 12 threes on the game, including ten in the second half.

Aundray Sims led Italian Delight with 15 points, while Robert Perkins had 11 and Shamoni Faulkner nine.

Aquatics got 10 apiece from Bryant Lambert and Raekwon Ferrell and eight from Matthew Trent.

The Outlaws 76, AWNC 51

The Outlaws connected on 24 two-point baskets and nine 3s on the way to a lopsided win.

Michael Nelson dialed up 22 points for the winners, while teammates Joey Barksdale (12 points) and Lymon Gregory (11 points) had contributing roles.

Terrance Calloway led AWNC with 11 points, while Garry Barley had ten and Jarmal Crews added nine.

The players of the week are Mosley, Sims and Nelson.

The highlight game for the week ahead features the two unbeatens, the Outlaws and Italian Delight.
