Benchmark rolls past DG / October 30, 2013
Benchmark enjoyed solid scoring from three players and rolled past Dollar General, 61-45, in South Boston Business and Industrial league action Sunday.

Justin Saunders led Benchmark with 22 points and Geoff Grant followed with 18. Johnny Wilson had 17. Benchmark led 29-16 at the half and enjoyed the double-figure win.

LaQuinton Johnson had 13 points and P.J. Boyd 11 for DG.

ABB downed Presto/HC 55-41. Dre Tucker earned player of the game honors with 19 points. Michael Jackson added 16 and Obie Coleman 11. Dominique Banks had 13 to lead the losing team.

Halifax Regional bounced Goodyear, 46-31. Halifax Regional got scoring from six players, as Demetrius Burrell had 19 points and Keon Gutrich 10. Bruce Wilson and Lamont Averett led Goodyear with six apiece.

Dollar General/Unarco broke out of a halftime tie and defeated AW, 46-40. Dollar General/Unarco had 24 second half points and got 14 points apiece from Tyrone Barksdale and Clifton Terry. Joey Barksdale added eight. Dennis Torain led AW with 18 points and Lymon Gregory added 10.

South Boston Tees downed United Steps/Felton Bros, 39-25.

Robert Ross was player of the game and scored 14 for the winners. Shai Jones added eight. Aaron Hill had eight for the losing team and Donald Watson had six.
