Blue Comet 5K run/walk Oct. 20

The Halifax County High School Blue Comets will be hosting the first Blue Comet 5K run/walk and 1K fun run Oct. 20.

The course will begin and end at the HCHS football stadium.

It will begin and end behind the scoreboard.

The access roads between Halifax County Middle School and Halifax County High School will be used for the course.

The 1K fun run is for kids 13 and under and begins at 8:30 a.m.

The 5K run/walk is for ages 14 and up and will begin at 9 a.m.

Registration fee is $15 for kids 13 and under and $25 for those 14 and older.

T-shirts will be given to those who register.

Trophies and medals will be given to winners and door prizes will be given away at the end of the race.

All proceeds will be going to the HCHS Blue Comet Athletic Department.

Come out and support your local Comets.

Register online by Oct. 13 using http://www.halifax.k12.va.us or register the day of the race.
