Bluestone falls to Prince Edward 2-0

The Bluestone boys soccer team fell to Prince Edward 2-0.

Bluestone's season ended with a 8-7-2 record in the James River District.

Coach Jonathan Wells said the team played one of its best matches of the season, but were just unable to score.

Bluestone went to halftime down 1-0 after PE scored in the 34th minute. Prince Edward posted its final points 24 minutes into the second half.

Bluestone’s Johnathan Thurston had 13 saves and Pedro Trejo-Garcia had two goal line saves.

“We played a very good game to end our season,” Wells said.

Bluestone picked up a 5-2 win over Amelia to end its season.

In the eighth minute Trei Veneable scored on a pass from Cooper Carter. Seven minutes later, Carter shot a pass across the goal for Kyler Lopez to score.

In the 35th minute Carter scored on a pass from Zach McCall.

In the second half and Amelia scored in the ninth and 15th minutes. Bluestone answered in the 17th minute when Veneable scored again.

In the 28th minute Carter netted again. Jonathan Thurston had 15 saves.
