Bluestone jayvee volleyball defeat Buckingham / October 13, 2021
The Bluestone jayvee volleyball squad won a hotly contested match with Buckingham last week, 25-21 and 26-24.

Jansyn King, Ashlyn Wilbourne, Julie King, and Amelia Whittingham had solid games with the four combining for 21 kills, 33 digs, and 15 serve aces. Danella Davis landed two aces and Jocelyn Ashworth had three digs in support of the win.

The win improved the team to 7-3, 4-3 James River District. The girls are in third place behind no. 1 Central Lunenburg (8-1) and no. 2 Amelia County at 7-2.

Bluestone 0, Amelia 2

This loss to the no. 2 team in the James River District was a very well-played match. Amelia prevailed, 25-21 and 25-23.

The Bluestone defense performed well, delivering 20 digs by Amelia Whittingham, and 12 digs by Jansyn King.

Whittingham dished out three assists. King, Julie King and Ashlyn Wilbourne totaled eight aces.
