Bluestone preseason play opens this week / March 06, 2019
Spring sports at Bluestone have arrived with three programs beginning preseason scrimmage play this week.

On Tuesday, the baseball team was scheduled to travel to Victoria to scrimmage Central Lunenburg. The varsity softball team was also scheduled to play yesterday at Park View High School. Boys’ soccer is scheduled to scrimmage Park View today in South Hill.

On Thursday all three programs will be in action. Baseball travels to Kenston Forest; softball competes at Gretna High School and soccer is at Dan Daniel Park versus George Washington-Danville. Boys soccer closes out the week at Bluestone against Brunswick in their final preseason game.

The regular season will begin on Monday, March 11 for soccer and baseball. Bluestone boys and girls soccer teams will play at Bluestone taking on James River District opponent Randolph-Henry. The girls start at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. for the boys. Varsity baseball will open with Tri-Rivers District rival Brunswick High School in Lawrenceville. Game time is 5 p.m.

The varsity softball team will begin regular season action on Tuesday, March 12 at 5 p.m. in Skipwith against Randolph-Henry. Varsity baseball will play its first conference game of the season against R-H in Charlotte Courthouse on Tuesday.

Varsity track, for girls and boys, begins JRD competition on March 27 in a quad-meet at Goochland. Competing at the meet will be Bluestone, Cumberland, R-H and host team Goochland.
