BMS baseball falls to 2-3 on season with losses to Park View, Nottoway

The Bluestone Middle School baseball team suffered its second loss of the season, 8-1, against Park View Middle School on March 28 at Bluestone.

Peyton Chavis started on the hill for Bluestone and gave up eight runs on seven hits, walking four and striking out nine. Harrison Snead did well pitching in relief, only giving up one hit in threee innings.

Bluestone only managed five hits in the game. They were by Davis Bowen, Cody Hoffer, Chavis, Zach Peregoy, and Cameron Shriver. Chavis took the loss for Bluestone.



Nottoway 5, BMS 1

The Bluestone Middle School baseball team dropped its third game in a row on the road at Nottoway Middle School, losing 5-1 on March 29.

Cody Hoffer started and pitched a complete game for Bluestone, giving up five runs on five hits, walking one batter and striking out six.

For the past two games, the Trojans bats have been quiet. Bluestone only managed one run on three hits. The hits were by Peyton Chavis, Zach Peregoy and Brandon Cook.

Hoffer took the loss for Bluestone.

The Trojans will look to rebound after the spring break when they will play three games in the first week back.
