BMS girls edge out rival Cougars from Park View / January 15, 2020

The Bluestone Middle School girls basketball team defeated county rival Park View Middle School on Monday night in Skipwith, 23-19.

Bluestone was paced by Danella Davis’ 10 points. JeKaylah Degree scored nine for the Bluestone; Dazmine White added four points.

PV’s Jordyn Maclin led all players with 12 points on the night. Kaylin Alexander and Kamaryea Mangrum had five and two points in the game, respectively.

Bluestone never really trailed in the game. After moving to an 8-5 first period lead, the Trojan girls were up 13-11 at halftime.

The third period was a low scoring affair for both teams. Bluestone hit for four points in the frame. PV posted two points.

Down by six points at 16-13 with 4:55 left in the game, PV attempted to rally. Bluestone held on for the 23-19 win.
