Then, in the semifinals, Alex Bailey (GW) d. Ralph Tuck 6-2, 6-3.

Doubles’ results: Doubles Quarterfinals, Joe Gervis/Matt Catron (PH) d. Tuck/Strader 6-2, 6-3; Crawford/Josh Oliver (FC) d. Tayler Tepper/Taylor Elliott (HC) 6-1, 6-2.

“Once again, the guys but a really solid effort in and gave it there best. It was good to see Ralph advance to the semis, and he put up a strong fight in that last match. I would have loved to have seen him make it to regionals in his final district tournament, but I am still proud of the effort that he and the rest of the team put in this season. We had alot of people moving way up the ladder from their previous positions or playing in the top 6 for the first time every. I commend our seniors and look forward to the underclassmen building on this season as we prepare for next year,” said Comet coach David Riddle.
