Jeb Burton had some late race mechanical issues and finished 13th in Friday’s NASCAR Truck Series event in Charlotte.

Burton won the pole and raced in the top ten much of the night.

He eventually slipped to 13th, but was still the highest finishing rookie in the race.

Burton remains second in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points, with 180 markers. Matt Crafton leads the points with 202.

Former SBS track champion Tim Peters struggled, finishing 26th in the race.
