Busy week ahead for Bluestone with three games / April 24, 2019

The Bluestone varsity baseball team has a busy week with three James River district games on tap.

Bluestone scheduled to travel to Farmville yesterday to compete against Prince Edward. Bluestone finishes out the week with two home games. On Thursday the Barons host Amelia and on Friday the team welcomes Randolph-Henry.

Bluestone won over PE in earlier season action by the score of 15-5. The team dropped previous games to Amelia and Randolph-Henry 6-4 and 7-0, in that order.

Bluestone holds fourth place in the district and are 4-4 in the JRD and 4-4 overall. Prince Edward is right on the Barons’ heels in fifth place with a district record of 4-4, 4-6 overall.

Randolph-Henry is dominating the JRD with a record of 7-1. Amelia sits in third place at 5-3.

The Barons are looking to pick up right where they left off before Spring Break. Bluestone had two gutsy wins, besting Buckingham 15-13 and Cumberland, 7-4.
