Comet baseball begins its regional quest today

SoVaNow.com / June 02, 2014
Halifax County High School baseball has had a week long break, and now the Comets return to Region 5-A North action against Thomas Edison at home today at 6 p.m.

The Comets won last week’s Conference 16 title, enabling them to avoid first-round regional action. If the Comets win its first two games this week, on Monday and Wednesday, the Comets would advance to the regional finals and earn a state tournament berth.

If Halifax loses either today or Wednesday, the season is over.

Halifax is riding some momentum after its conference title win against PH-Ashland.
